To be considered for admission into the IT Minor, a student must have been formally accepted to a degree program at MSU, AND they must have completed the required prerequisite courses. Prerequisites are: (a) Computer Science and Engineering 102 or 201 or 231 and (b) Mathematics 124 or 132.

Effective September 17, 2019 the IT Minor cannot be used to count as a cognate for the Computer Science and Engineering major.

Grades for classes which the Satisfactory / Not Satisfactory option was utilized during Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 will be considered during the admissions process.
